THANK YOU

Thank you all from the very bottom of my heart. The love and support that everyone showed is absolutely phenomenal. Our little pawty was bigger and better than I could ever have dreamed and that was on Labour day weekend in North America!

We shared stories, drank, danced and sang in a rousing send off that the angels couldn't match. Most importantly, we raised a great deal of money to help other German Shepherds find a home. That cause has always been important to Troll and I. German Shepherds are difficult to re-home because of their size and reputation.

If you ever get the opportunity to share your life with a GSD, I suggest that you take it. Their combination of noble spirit and gentleness means that they can learn to get along with any animal or size of human. I just wish that humans could learn to do the same.

Thank you to my good friends Shayna, Moo, Truman and Winston for their friendship and kindness in stepping up to volunteer their services as barktenders and DJ's. A special shout out also goes to Penny and Tippy for their work in promoting the party on short notice.

I guess all that's left to say is Wasn't That A Pawty!

So long for now. Thank you all for the wonderful send off.
Lots of love
Lucky

Hello from the Rainbow Bridge. As you know by now, I recently crossed over the bridge after arthritis made it impossible for me to enjoy any measurable quality of life.

Join me on September 3rd from 10:00 pm - midnight -UK (5:00 pm - 7:00 pm EDT) for my Irish style wake. We will eat, drink, sing, dance and tell stories. There will be lots of laughter and smiles, which is the way that I want to be remembered! Be sure to use the hashtag #Wake4Lucky

Since the day I was rescued, helping other German Shepherds find a home has been very important to me as it takes a very special home to meet the needs of a GSD. German Shepherd Rescue Elite (@gsrescueelite) is one of the hardest working GSD rescues on social media. If you are able, please donate whatever you can. Remember that no donation is too small and all the money raised goes to help find a new forever home for these beautiful and noble dogs.

Have a look around the blog and check out our menu, staff page, more info about my chosen charity and of course lots of pictures of me.

I hope that you have a pawsome time at my wake and please don't shed anymore tears for me. I am pain free and have as much energy as a pup.
